Under the leadership of Mr. McShane, Cadence McShane and McShane Construction have earned a prestigious reputation as providers of design/build, construction management and general construction services on a national basis. Mr. McShane established his first construction firm, suburban-Chicago based McShane Construction Company, in 1984. Following the success and growth of this firm, Mr. McShane sought to expand into the Texas market where new opportunities for construction were being driven by surging population growth and increasing business sector expansion. In 1996, following an extensive search for an established Texas-based construction entity that reflected the business ethics and standards that Mr. McShane uses to govern his construction practice, he approached The Cadence Group, a general contractor with offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin. Maximizing the reputation and standing of the McShane name within the national construction arena, Cadence McShane Construction was subsequently formed to represent the McShane organization within the State of Texas and the south central region.
The growth of Cadence McShane Construction is reflective of Mr. McShane’s focused interest in serving the distribution, manufacturing, office, healthcare, multi-family, retail, hospitality, institutional, K-12 and higher education markets by providing unparalleled expertise in project management and on-site field supervision. Mr. McShane continues to focus on geographical expansion and market scope penetration to enhance the firm’s furtherance within the national spectrum.
